The International Professional Security Association (IPSA) has announced the appointment of Michael Kill as its new Chair, effective immediately from 23 July 2026.
Michael, Chief Executive of the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), brings decades of leadership experience spanning the independent, corporate and public sectors. Throughout his career, he held senior positions with Luminar Leisure, The Drinks Group and the University of East Anglia, establishing a reputation as one of the UK’s most influential voices on the night-time economy.
A tireless advocate for industry operators, venues and creatives, Michael has consistently championed policies that support a safer, more sustainable and commercially resilient night-time economy. His extensive experience in industry engagement, public policy and stakeholder collaboration will play a key role in strengthening IPSA’s commitment to driving innovation, raising professional standards and securing greater recognition for the security profession.
Michael is widely recognised for his work representing the night-time economy, regularly engaging with government ministers, policymakers and Parliamentary Select Committees on issues relating to regulation, public safety, licensing and economic sustainability. He also serves as Chair of the UK Door Security Association, reinforcing his longstanding commitment to improving standards, professionalism and safety across the licensed security sector.
He succeeds David Fullerton of Fullerton Group, who stepped down from the position earlier this month following his dedicated service to the Association.

Michael assumes the role of Chair with immediate effect from 23 July 2026.
