The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) has expressed deep concern over the severe financial impact of ongoing rail strikes on the late-night sector. According to the NTIA, the industry has lost over £4 billion in revenue due to these strikes, with a significant rise in business administrations. NTIA CEO Michael Kill highlighted the urgent need for government intervention, calling for a reduction in VAT to provide much-needed financial relief. The NTIA emphasises that immediate action is essential to prevent further closures and safeguard the future of the nightlife industry.
