Appleton Private University Named Finalist for Prestigious Education Award
The prestigious World Leaders Summit will take place on March 21st at the Ashmolean Museum of the University of Oxford in the UK. The summit serves as a platform for leaders to share their ideas and experiences while networking with others from around the world. It also features a series of award ceremonies that recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations in the fields of education and entrepreneurship.
The Appleton Private University has reached a significant milestone being named a finalist in the prestigious category of “Best Education Institution Working on Interpersonal Skill Building”, an award that will be presented at the renowned Ashmolean Museum of the University of Oxford. The World Leaders Summit is an annual event that gathers leaders from all around the world to debate and celebrate the spirit of education and entrepreneurship.
“We are honored to be nominated for this prestigious award,” said Dr. Jose Manuel M. Castelo, Rector of Appleton Private University. “This nomination is a recognition of our commitment to providing our students with a world-class education that prepares them for success in the 21st century.”
Making the most of the World Leaders Summit, the Faculty of Nightlife Studies—a joint initiative by the International Nightlife Association (INA) and Appleton Private University—will be officially presented. So, INA’s Secretary General, Joaquim Boadas de Quintana, who also serves as Vice Dean of the Faculty, will attend this important event. This marks a crucial step in developing an innovative educational institution dedicated to the multidisciplinary study and management of the nightlife industry.
As the Faculty of Nightlife Studies prepares for its official launch, the INA and Appleton Private University are inviting industry professionals, educators, and organizations to engage with this pioneering initiative. Opportunities for collaboration include faculty partnerships, research initiatives, and student training programs, all aimed at shaping the next generation of nightlife professionals.
Faculty of Nightlife Studies: Elevating Global Nightlife Through Education, Innovation, and Professionalization
Designed to meet the growing demand for specialized professionals, the Faculty of Nightlife Studies aims to train highly qualified experts for the evolving nightlife industry. The Faculty is currently expanding and consolidating, assembling a world-class faculty of international experts who will provide diverse perspectives and specialized knowledge in nightlife management.
This initiative aims to foster academic excellence, professionalize the sector, and drive innovation while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. By doing so, it will play a key role in enhancing the reputation of a historically stigmatized industry, benefiting not only businesses but also workers and customers. It represents another step toward excellence, complementing international distinctions like the Triple Excellence in Nightlife and prestigious events such as the Golden Moon Awards, which the INA has long championed to elevate quality and standards within the sector.
Joaquim Boadas, Secretary General of the INA and Vice Dean of the Faculty stated:
“The launch of the Faculty of Nightlife Studies marks a historic milestone for the global nightlife industry. By providing specialized education and training, we are ensuring that the future of nightlife is more professionalized, safer, innovative, and sustainable”. Boadas also highlighted that “it is essential to note that this historic launch takes place in the same year in which the INA acquired consultative status with the UN through CoNGO and ECOSOC, for the first time in the history of nightlife.”
With nightlife contributing billions to the global economy and employing millions worldwide, there is a pressing need for professionals trained in venue management, guest safety, event planning, and technological innovation. Additionally, the search is underway for the ideal location for the Faculty’s physical campus and Tech Campus, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technological resources to enhance learning, research, and industry collaboration.
