During the event, which will take place on the night of November 20 in Valencia, Spain, The World’s 100 Best Clubs™ 2024 list will be revealed.
The award ceremony will cap off two days of events, including the 10th International Nightlife Congress and the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress.
The ninth edition of the Golden Moon Awards, which will take place in Valencia, Spain on November 20, will mark the conclusion of the 10th International Nightlife Congress and the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress. The event will be presented by British DJ Judge Jules and renowned Spanish journalist Lara Álvarez.
A gala during which the prestigious Golden Moon Awards will be presented, recognizing the work of the leading nightlife venues, companies, and institutions that have stood out for their contribution to the sector this year. These awards include the following categories: World’s Best Innovative Project in Nightlife 2024, World’s Best Collaborative Project in Nightlife Security 2024, World’s Best Act of Excellence and Protection for Customers and Workers 2024, World’s Best Event 2024, World’s Best Festival 2024, World’s Most Sustainable Venue 2024, World’s Best Nightlife Business Group 2024, World’s Best DJ 2024, World’s Breakthrough Artist 2024, and the most coveted Golden Moon Award, the World’s Best Club 2024, which will top The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 list. The public voting for The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024™, which will be revealed during the Golden Moon Awards gala, has officially closed and gathered 304,842 votes. At this moment, the professional jury is reviewing the information provided by the clubs that are candidates for the list.

As for this year’s hosts, DJ Judge Jules began his career in 1978 and has since excelled not only as a DJ, reaching recognition among the top names, but also as a producer, promoter, A&R, radio presenter, trendsetter, and more recently, a music lawyer. Jules is also widely known for his radio career on Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1. He currently hosts his weekly radio show, The Global Warm Up, which garners 750,000 podcast downloads each week and is broadcast on over 80 radio stations.
Additionally, he has released more than 200 tracks, including 15 top 40 hits on the UK charts, and has mixed legendary compilations for Ministry of Sound, Universal, and Warner Bros, amassing over 3 million sales. His iconic brand, Judgement, holds the record as the longest-standing DJ residency in Ibiza, running for 16 years as a weekly event. Judge Jules has received accolades such as DJ of the Year according to Mixmag, Best International DJ (Dancestar Awards), Best Radio DJ (Smirnoff’s Dancestars), and is a regular in DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll, where he reached the No. 3 spot globally.

Spanish journalist Lara Alvárez will join the well-known British DJ Judge Jules.
Lara Álvarez is a renowned Spanish journalist and TV presenter. She has hosted popular shows like Supervivientes (Survivor Spain), Gran Hermano (Big Brother Spain), and Espejo Público. Álvarez has worked with major networks like Mediaset España and Antena 3, the most viewed TV channels in Spain. In 2021, she made her musical debut with the song Juntos somos más for Euro 2020. Most recently, in 2024, she was announced as the host of TVE’s (Spanish National Television) new show La conexión. Throughout her career, she has earned several awards, including the 2017 TV Star Award.
10th International Nightlife Congress and 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress.
Before the 9th Golden Moon Awards Gala, the 10th International Nightlife Congress and the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress will occur on November 19 and 20 in Valencia, respectively. The congresses will address the current state, challenges, opportunities, and future outlook of the nightlife sector with leading national and international industry representatives.
The SH Valencia Palace Hotel will host both congresses, featuring nine-panel discussions. The 10th International Nightlife Congress, taking place on November 20, will include panels on topics like “Formulas To Promote Safety, Harm Reduction And Coexistence In Nightlife,” “Nightlife and Culture: The Rise of Nightlife as a Cultural Phenomenon,” “The Value Of Relationships Between Djs, Booking Managers, And Promoters,” and “The Future of Nightlife.”
The 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress, on November 19, will include panels such as: “Safety as a Fundamental Pillar of Nightlife,””Marketing and Branding: Key Aspects in Promoting Nightlife,” “Why Should a DJ Performance Be Legally Considered Live Music?” and “The Importance of Nightlife for the Visitor Economy.”
