All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the Night Time Economy
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the Night Time Economy brings together cross-party MPs and peers to champion and support the diverse ecosystem of the UK’s night-time industries. From hospitality, live music and cultural venues to events, nightclubs, and the broader supply chain, the Group recognises the social, cultural, and economic value of the sector, which contributes over £100 billion annually to the UK economy and supports millions of jobs.
Established to provide a parliamentary voice for the night-time economy, the APPG works in close collaboration with businesses, trade bodies, policymakers, and local communities. It aims to influence legislation, promote positive regulatory change, and ensure the unique challenges of operating between the hours of 6pm and 6am are properly understood and addressed in Westminster.
Members of the APPG advocate for a fair and thriving night-time landscape—one that is safe, inclusive, and vibrant—through inquiry reports, roundtable discussions, and engagement with ministers and stakeholders. The Group also provides a platform for voices across the industry to share insight and policy recommendations, ensuring that the UK remains a global leader in nightlife and after-dark culture.
