Yesterday, the government insisted that all hospitality venues need to track their customers who are entering the venue to keep records in-case of further coronavirus outbreaks, as which has been the policy since May in Australia and other countries.

In response, Sprout CRM has developed a free-of-use QR Code system which allows venues to track their customer’s details in accordance with GDPR legislation.

A simple QR code, scannable using any smartphone device, drives customers to a secure website to input their data, allowing venues to manage contactless check-ins at their venues for rapid contact tracing.

How It Works

Customers check-in at the venue easily by scanning a QR code on entry or once they have been seated. There is no need to download an app.

Using Sprout CRM’s secure infrastructure, the venue captures and securely stores the data with the date and time of check-in.

The venue can then access and export the data at any time with a search/filter for any given date in response to potential outbreaks or safety concerns.
